Considering a New Work Vehicle? Keep These Tips in Mind

It’s time for a new work vehicle, and whether you’re looking for a town car or Rocky Ridge Truck dealers you have a lot of things on your mind.  The idea work vehicle should it your business or company’s particular needs, but there are some things that everyone that’s considering a new work vehicle should keep in mind.

Make efficiency a top priority

When most employees think about finding new work vehicles, they’re more concerned with space and horsepower than anything else.  You want a powerful truck that you’ll be able to haul a lot of equipment in, but you’ll always want a car that has a good mile per gallon ratio.  Work cars can guzzle a lot of gas when you’re going from job to job and all of those gallons will start to add up.  Believe it or not, there is such a thing as fuel efficient SUVs and pickup trucks.

Think about the benefits of keyless entry

Car keys aren’t complicated to use, but sometimes they can be inconvenient.  Have you ever gone out during an early morning in the dead of winter to start up your car, only to fumble with the key and lock for a few minutes?  Do you ever have your hands full when you’re walking to your car, and end up fumbling around to unlock your car door, dropping whatever you're holding?  If you got a car with remote start capabilities, driving can get a lot easier.  It’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about when trying to get to work.

Consider getting a charging/USB port

Most vehicles were built with cigarette lighters but if you want to an extra feature that is a bit more modern and useful, you should look for a car with an extra power outlet.  Think about how many electronics you have when you leave your house for work.  You probably have a smartphone or regular cell phone that you use for work, and maybe a tablet computer.  If you could have a reliable source of power, you won’t have to worry about having any of your electronics run out of power.

Think about a GPS system

If you’re getting a car for work, it’s safe to assume that you’re going to be doing a good amount of traveling.  When you’re trying to get to a meeting on time, the last thing you need to be doing is fumbling around with your phone.  A built in navigation system can help make getting to new places a lot easier, and can free up your phone for any important calls.

3 Tips Every New Car Owner Should Follow

There is nothing more exciting than your first few weeks of car ownership, mainly because you’re happy that you’re finished with the car buying process.  Nobody would blame you, buying a car can take a lot of time and money.  You spend weeks pouring over different car manufacturers, makes, and models, then you spend time scrimping, saving, and building up your credit so that you can finally enjoy your car of choice.  You may not be actively shopping for a car, but your car work isn’t through just yet.  As owner of a new or used car, there are a few things you should be doing after you get your vehicle of choice.

Make safety your priority

You never know what will happen when you’re driving any car, let alone a new car you aren’t familiar with.  Accidents and car repairs are simply a part of car ownership, and you need to be prepared for them.   Rain, snow, and really any kind of messy weather could make driving conditions unsafe, and a blown tire can seriously mess up your schedule.  Always a few emergency supplies in your car, like spare tires, road flares, and flashlights for an emergency.  You may also want to look into getting an AAA membership or an OnStar System; they can come in pretty handy in an emergency.  Don’t forget to include essentials like ice scrapers and snow brushes in your trunk.

Keep a close eye on your car

Every car drives and handles differently, and you should do your best to get know everything you can about your new car.  Drive in places that you know to get to learn about how your car accelerates and brakes and be sure to keep an eye on gas gauge to see when you need gas.  Know your car's make and model, and ensure you know how to put air in your tires, replace windshield washer fluid, how to change your oil, and how to handle general car maintenance tasks.  All of these things will help make it easier to see when something is wrong with your car, and can help take away some of your initial new driver’s anxiety.

Talk to your insurance agent

Did you drive an old car that you didn’t have much insurance coverage on, and now have something that’s newer, a bit nicer looking, and will probably be used for a while?  If so, you may want to increase insurance coverage on your car to give it more protection in case of an accident.  Contact your provider and see what your options are.  You may even be able to negotiate a lower rate if you’ve had an accident free year.  If you were lucky enough to buy one of the certified pre owned cars in NJ, your warranty could help lower your insurance rates.

Why Your Next Vehicle Should Be Certified and Pre-Owned

When looking for your next vehicle, you have a lot of options available. If you have the money for it, you could decide to buy a brand new car for the first time. If you're short on cash, you may be leaning towards buying a used car in order to save money. Lately, you've probably heard a lot of people talking about the benefits of owning a certified pre-owned car and there's a reason for this. Certified pre-owned cars have become increasingly popular in New Jersey in the last few years, and they are often the best way to get a reliable and long-lasting used vehicle. There are a number of benefits to owning a certified pre-owned car and we, at Gentilini Motors, are here to explain some of the most important ones.

Assured vehicle quality

The main reason that some people are hesitant to buy used almost always has to do with quality. After all, nobody wants to invest in a vehicle only to end up with a lemon. Admittedly, there are lemon laws to protect consumers from this problem, but most people still don't want the hassle. A car you buy should work right for a long time without problems – and buying certified helps you to ensure this. Certified pre-owned vehicles at our dealership have to pass a stringent 172-point inspection by certified mechanics, which means that they are much less likely to be faulty.

Extended warranty protection

There's nothing worse than buying something, discovering that something is wrong with it, and then not being able to do much because it is no longer under warranty. Our vehicles include a manufacturer-backed limited warranty, which means that you are protected if (for some reason) your car is acting up. In addition to the basic warranty, our Certified Pre-Owned program also includes limited powertrain coverage. These offerings mean that any vehicle purchased in this program is virtually risk-free.

Affordable financing and interest

When compared to buying a car, certified pre-owned cars are worlds cheaper when it comes to financing and interest rates. A great deal of the monetary value of a car is lost in the first three years of its life, while its actual driving value remains pretty nearly intact. What this means for you is that even a year-old car will have a big chunk of change taken out of the asking price, with no discernable change in the condition of the car. This all bodes well for you getting a good deal on financing, with low interest rates.

Extra Features You May Want to Consider for Your Next Car

When you're thinking about getting a new or used car, there are a lot of things to think about. Do you want to buy from the same manufacturer this time around, or are you ready to drive something else? Do you want a big SUV or truck, or are you looking for something small and fast. There are so many things to consider when shopping in car dealerships in South Jersey that you may not be thinking about the kinds of features you want your new vehicle to have. Sometimes, the extra features a car offers can make or break your decision to buy it, so you should take some time to figure out what you want. Everybody has their own preferences, but here are some features that we at Gentilini Motors have noticed that people really seem to love:

Remote start

Car keys aren't complicated to use, but sometimes they can be inconvenient. Have you ever gone out on a cold morning to start up your car, only to discover that the keyhole is frozen? Do you ever have your hands full when you're walking to your car, and end up fumbling around to unlock your car door? If you get a car with remote start capabilities, driving can get a lot easier.

Charging/USB port

If you want to a useful feature, you should look for a car with a USB port for charging your electronics. Think about how many devices you take when you leave the house for work, or just to go out to have a good time. You probably own a smartphone or regular cell phone, and maybe a tablet computer or an iPod. If you have a reliable source of power, you won't have to worry about any of these devices dying on you when you need them most.

OnStar System

If you're concerned about safety, you should consider getting a car with an OnStar system. You never know when an emergency or problem can happen when you're on the road. Blown tires, engine problems, and even accidents can occur at the drop of a hat, and OnStar is designed to help drivers in their time of need. OnStar advisers can summon a tow truck to your vehicle, call for police assistance, or even just talk to you if you're feeling nervous when driving. They also call you if something out of the ordinary happens, like airbag deployment. OnStar does charge a monthly service fee, but it's worth it when you consider the essential safety features you're paying for.

If you're buying a new car and want some helpful extra features, Gentilini Motors can help you find the one you're looking for! Check out our inventory or contact us with any questions today!

How to Tell if Leasing a Car is for You

leasing car concept

If you're used to buying vehicles, leasing a car can seem like a completely foreign concept to you. The vast majority of people have been buying their cars for years but, as economic trends change, more and more people are jumping on the leasing bandwagon. There are a variety of reasons to lease your next car, and you probably should if any of the following statements apply to you.

You are financially stable and have good or decent credit

The easiest way to think about leasing a car is to view it as signing a long-term rental contract. You want to make sure that you have enough money to keep up with payments, and that you qualify for a good leasing contract. There are plenty of sign and drive lease deals in NJ, but you'll have to be in decent financial standing in order to be approved for one. Financial stability is definitely a plus, but that doesn't mean that you have to be rich. In fact, leasing is a good option if . . .

You want to drive a more expensive car than you can afford

You always see people with the latest cars and wish that you could roll out in a vehicle as nice as theirs. Sometimes you can't afford to buy your dream car, but that doesn't mean that it is impossible to drive it. Leasing a vehicle can allow you to drive your dream vehicle without having to own it.

You take good care of your vehicles

Are you the kind of person that lets trash accumulate in your car? Can you not remember the last time you took your car in for an oil change? Are you generally bad with doing automotive maintenance tasks in general? If this mindset sounds nothing like you, leasing is a great option! When you lease, you don't just agree to eventually give the vehicle back, you also agree to return it in relatively good condition. Then again, if you get a leased vehicle and it has an issue, repairs might not be a problem because leased cars often come with comprehensive maintenance coverage. In other words, if your car needs an oil change or some kind of repair (not the accident-related kind), someone else will pay for the work.

Leasing is more popular now than ever before! Check out our lease deals at Gentilini Motors today, and drive home with the car you want at the price you need!
